Tot School: Spring Fun

Littlemiss is 29 months old
Tot School

Spring is finally upon us! We are soaking up these warm days before the blanket of wet, suffocating heat is upon us. I have a hard time surviving the summers here.

Currently, we aren't doing a letter of the week or theme until Littlemiss's out of preschool for the year. I've got big plans for her Tot School this summer. Until then we will enjoy sensory activities and spontaneous fun!

This is Littlemiss "making dinner" by stirring the beads around. It was neat for her to see how her motions in the water moved the beads around.

After they plumped up Littlemiss took them in her fingers and described them (in her own words) as "nice and squishy!"

If you don't know what they are you can buy them on Amazon in a variety of colors. They are used to keep plants hydrated, but are great fun for kids to play with! They start out really small and grow a bit and become squishy.

Dropping them into the tower.

I had to get a picture of her frizzy curls poking out from under her hat.

We did a sound activity this week. I've been saving all our toilet paper rolls this week thinking we could definitely use them for some sort of fun activity. (had taken more pictures, but they aren't downloading from my camera for some reason.)

I taped the bottom of four toilet paper rolls. I had Littlemiss scoop something different into each roll: rice, dry beans, pom poms, and a bell. Then I taped the other side. She would shake them and then guess what was inside. The hardest to differentiate is the beans and rice.

Everything gets stacked these days...
