I heard on our local Christian radio station that the average stay-at-home mom would make well over $100,000 if she were paid for what she does. The working mom would make around $66,000 on top of her regular job. I'd really like to cash in on all the overtime I've been doing late at night with my two kiddos the past few weeks! Littlemiss is up randomly at night for who knows what reason, and BooBoo still likes to eat and cuddle every 3-4 hours. I'm not complaining, it's all a part of motherhood. I'm there when they need me around the clock. Littlemiss has also recently learned to open the door to her room. She wakes up around 5:30 to play. Yep, she knows her toys are right outside her door, so why not go and play with them?? Of course she doesn't wake us up, she just goes straight to playing. Smart girl. Well, I know one day I'll sleep again... For Mother's Day Clay watched the kids so I could take a 3 hour afternoon nap, it was pure bliss. He gifted me with a beautiful necklace. It has both kids initial, each birthstone, and then Clay and I's birthstones within the chain (emerald and aquamarine).

| I'm pretty sure we bribed Littlemiss to take this one...we are "those" parents. |
I've never heard those numbers before, but I fully believe it. I had a very involved stay-at-home mom and I hope to be the same one day!
ReplyDeleteThey said the overtime was what brought it up so much higher! I believe it.
