Already past half a year...where does time go!? Littlemiss and BooBoo are getting closer every day, as he becomes more "fun" for her to play with. All he has to do is see her and he is immediately smiling. He must find her so amusing :)
As far as development goes, BooBoo is right on track. He's around 19 and a half pounds, and I don't know how tall he is.
Physically: he's rolling all over the place and sitting up unassisted...except that he will eventually fall over or backwards, so not completely. He likes to bang and throw his toys around...such a boy. Everything goes in his mouth and is immediately chewed on. He has two bottom teeth, and could be working on more with all the drooling and chewing that is going on. He found his feet and loves to play with them. He continues to take a pacifier, but I've limited it to mostly naps and bedtime. He sleeps with a blanket as well. He likes to hold it in his hands and often pulls it over his face when he sleeps. I've been trying to teach him to say "mama" but he's just not ready...just kidding.
He still likes to get up every 3-4 hours at night...don't ask me how I'm still standing after doing this for so many months. He will sometimes pull a 5-6 hour stretch, which makes me feel like a real person the next day. I know he will sleep one day, and hopefully that day is soon!
He eats solids twice a day now, a pureed fruit around lunch and a veggie with rice cereal at dinner time. So far he eats: apples, pears, peaches, bananas, avocado, butternut squash, sweet potato, sweet peas, sweet potato, and zucchini. I make all his food and this month he will get to try some more interesting foods, I'm excited.
BooBoo's an absolute delight, I feel like I won the lottery with my kids. They are wonderful little people. I was looking at Littlemiss today and trying to imagine what life will be like when she's a teenager. I just want to pick her up and swing her around while she's young and I can!

Your kids are SO cute! :) Happy belated Mother's Day! Glad you got some sleep!
ReplyDeleteP.S. Rory has such nice symmetrical rolls! :D And maybe Jemma is supposed to be a podiatrist someday? ;)
Thank you! We've been saying Jemma has a foot fetish, but I think we're going to just encourage her to be a podiatrist one day instead!
