Vintage Printed Tanks

I love MADE's 90 minute shirt, but I wanted a sleeveless version for summer. Here's a mini-tutorial on how to make the 90 minute shirt sleeveless. I also printed vintage pictures onto the tanks, courtesy of Cirque Du BeBe's creative genius. I found the vintage prints for $1 on Madame Bricolage's shop on Etsy, and used Leslie Riley's artist transfer paper.

Oh, they are adorable. This side-hug only last a millisecond though.

Enough of the excessive pics of my kiddos, here's the mini-tutorial:
When following the directions to the 90 minute shirt, instead of cutting sleeves and cuffs, cut extra binding for the arm holes. Measure your arm holes to make sure you cut enough. Follow the directions up until right before the sleeves are attached, and click back on over.

Your shirt should look something like this.

Pin the arm hole binding onto the bindings.

Sew in place.

Fold the shirt with right sides together. Sew up the sides of the shirt, from arm hole to bottom of shirt.

To keep the arm holes from gaping, sew the arm holes in a bit more (I sewed mine about 1-1.5 inches extra from the under side of the arm hole). Start sewing on the inside of the arm hole as far in as you want to take it and sew it down through the binding. Then join your stitches with the side seam. Does that make sense?

VOILA!

I gave Littlemiss's a more racer back feel by taking in the sides in the back a bit more.
